An adjective is one of the English parts of speech and describes a noun or a pronoun. Adjectives tell us more about nouns (someone or something) and usually come before a noun. Adjectives answer questions such as "Which one?" (yellow, that), "What kind?" (plastic, special), "How many?" (sixteen, many), "Whose?" (his, its, John’s). Adjectives can also be formed from nouns, such as region to regional, person to personal, and wonder to wonderful.
