Post-structuralism is an intellectual movement that emerged in philosophy and the humanities in the 1960s and 1970s. It challenged the tenets of structuralism, critiqued structuralism's reliance on centers and binary oppositions, questioned ontology, and developed new ways of thinking about difference and identity.
