This is a course paper on Functional Theories of Grammar prepared by M.Abdurahmonova under the supervision of N.M.Sulaymonova at the English Faculty of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages. The paper explores the theoretical foundation of grammar, the general theory of the grammatical organization of natural languages, the importance of grammar rules in teaching English to learners, and strategies of teaching grammar.
